STEVIE D is a humorous crime drama about a Los Angeles construction magnate whose only son has accidentally killed a connected man. A sinister plan is hatched that sends the son into hiding while an unsuccessful actor is hired to fill his shoes and unknowingly take the hit.

Stevie, a young man with Down syndrome trying to make it in the work-a-day world. He finds rejection at every turn until he finally lands a job in a Truck Stop Diner as a busboy. As the employees, truckers, and customers experience his open, friendly and non-judgmental ways, he eventually wins everybody over, but not be before being the brunt of taunts, tricks, and even being beat-up and robbed. He discovers love along the way, but must face even his parents' nonacceptance, and blocks by the Church and the State.

A young Russian countess escapes the 1917 revolution and, despite hardship, makes a new life for herself in America.

Galya, an alcoholic procuress, has lost rights to her daughter, Zoya, who is to be put in an orphanage. Galya decides to kidnap Zoya, and, with her autistic boyfriend, Stasik, heads to Kazakhstan to find Zoya's biological father.
